Somers Lightning Boys

The Somers Lightning program is designed for boys in grades 1 & 2. All players participating in this program must wear required equipment per USA Lacrosse.

Ages

This program is for boys in grades 1 & 2 that have played lacrosse and have a good understanding of the basics.

When

The Lightning season usually begins in mid-April and runs for 5 weeks.

Where

Practices and games are held on the fields behind the old Somers Grammar School on School Street.

Practices & Games

Typically held on Wednesday evenings & Sunday mornings. You can expect 1 practice and 1 small sided game per week.

Jerseys

Each player will receive a pinney that is included with registration.

Other Costs

All players participating in this program must wear required equipment. All players are also required to purchase a USA Lacrosse membership.

Steps for Registration. Please read carefully!

Prior to registering on the Somers Lacrosse Association Website, players must purchase their own USA Lacrosse membership before completing registration here. A valid USA Lacrosse membership is required, lasting one year. Follow the steps below:

1. Visit USALacrosse.com and click the red Join button

2. Choose Create Account. Complete your free parent account.

3. Select Buy/Renew Memberships and purchase youth membership(s) by following the prompts. Make note of your child's 12-digit membership number, including leading zeroes.

4. Return to Somers-Lacrosse.org and register your player for Lightning Lacrosse.
